Q:
Has anyone had any good experience or even know reviews on a Plantronics Calisto Pro phone system thing?

There isn't much written about it (other than 1 Amazon review - posted today) but I will say this: it's a Sharper Image product. Historically I've never been impressed with Plantronics products. Their designs are very pleasing to the eye and always catches my attention but the actual products always seem to be just okay. In any case, I think you're a little ahead of the curve here. I'd wait for a few more of these land line / cell / voip convergence phones before picking one.

That was me that posted the review on Amazon and I added an additional comment today. I would steer clear of this phone. I am still using it but it definitely has its pros and cons. It's the "cons" the cause me to really dislike it. The concept is great. It works well but for me the call waiting feature is confusing and I sometimes I wind up losing my first caller when answering a second incoming call. My first unit went back because of a faulty connector on the base unit for charging the headset, and the second unit is kind of faulty too in that it constantly flips from a red light (charging) to blue (fully charged) and then like a ghost, it turns back to red to charge, even though I've not used the headset at all! Also, the volume is turned up all the way on the tinny speakerphone. It's clear but it could have used more volume for me. Maybe I'm just old! :)
