Company Accepting Applications for “Recommendr Experts” in All Shopping Categories

SAN JOSE, California—October 2, 2007—Recommendr, Inc., a community based site where anyone can ask shopping questions and anyone can answer and give product recommendations, today announced it is accepting applications for people to become a Recommendr Expert in a shopping category. Once accepted, Recommendr Experts will receive a custom profile page and an exclusive avatar badge indicating their area of expertise. People with expert knowledge in one or more product category can apply to become a Recommendr Expert. The program and new site features were developed in response to product experts wishing to have specialized features and mention on the site. This not only helps to illuminate the professional opinions within the community, but also helps to increase transparency for manufacturers wishing to help consumers. Product manufacturers and e-commerce sites will receive a special badge and can give advice and recommendations to consumers without the fear of being perceived as a shill poster. The application process is simple and fast.
